This book, Devil’s Pawn, is a prequel to the Love Wins series, and it is a story many of my readers have been asking for for a long time. That is the main reason I decided to write this book.

However, before you begin reading, I want to clearly inform you that this story is set in a different era, a time when society was very different from what it is today. This book contains themes of domestic violence, marital abuse, and the harsh reality of how women were often treated in that time period. There are also scenes that may be uncomfortable for some readers, including emotional and sexual abuse, because these things were, unfortunately, a part of that era’s reality.

I am not writing these things to justify them, glorify them, or defend them in any way. This story shows the brutal truth of that time and the reality of certain families and mindsets. Those who have already read the Love Wins series know the Singhania family, their rules, their obsession with legacy, and the extreme decisions they were capable of making in the name of family honor and control. This book shows where that thinking began and what kind of environment shaped the people you have seen in Love Wins.

This is not a very long book. It will have around twenty chapters. Only the last chapter will be free. The remaining chapters will be paid. If you wish to continue the story, you are welcome to do so, but I kindly request you not to ask me to provide this book for free. This story has required a great deal of emotional and mental effort from me because it is not an easy story to write. I do not want my hard work to be disrespected or treated lightly.

If you choose to read this book, read it with the understanding that this is a dark prequel, a story about power, control, silence, and the past that shaped the future.
